GLO TO BOOST 4G LTE COVERAGE TO 20 NEW LOCATIONS


The 4G LTE network launched by the great data masters, Globacom has continued to gain ground, as 20 new locations have been added to the coverage map.

New locations include Ikorodu in Lagos, Ota in the state of Ogun and Zuba in Abuja.
While announcing the development in a press release from its headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos, Globacom revealed that more than 60 sites are now powered on in its 4G LTE network.

New places also include Idi Araba, Idi Oro, Mushin, Apapa and Oyingbo in Lagos; Jikwoyi, Dawaki, Gudu, Karu, Kado, Kuje and Zuba in Abuja and Eagle Island, Chinda, Abuloma, Iwofe, Choba and Onne in Port Harcourt.

Nigeria's first national 4G LTE mobile network was launched in nine cities, namely Lagos-Lekki, Ikoyi, V.I, Ajah and Akoka; Port Harcourt- Aba Road, Trans Amadi,
Diobu, Old GRA and UNIPort; Warri, Eket; Benin, Abuja-Maitama, Wuse, Asokoro, Garki / Central Business District and Airport Road, Jos, Yola-ABTI and Zaria-ABU in an impressive ceremony on 4 October.

Eight sites were added to the network one week after the initial launch. Among them are Okada (Igbinedion University), Abraka (Delta State University), Bonny, Slaves, Forcados, Ekpoma (Ambrose Alli University), Agbor (Education College) and Sapele (Western Delta University).
16 additional places such as Ikeja, Isolo, LASU, Oregun and Opebi in the State of Lagos, Redemption Camp and University of Babcock in Ogun State, Redeemer University in Ede, Osun State, Rukpokwu, Rumuibekwe, Eleme Junction, Eliozu, Woji and Rumuigbo at Rivers State and Mpape and Utako in Abuja were added a month ago.

The latest addition of 20 locations underlines Globacom's determination to bring the advanced mobile telecommunications network to cities across the country.

The Glo 4G LTE network offers customers an efficient mobile broadband network that is several times faster than a 3G network. Rave technology allows customers to surf the Internet at the speed of light and download HD videos in seconds.
