The popular kid commedian, Emmanuella Samuel has received an award from international video sharing website, YouTube.
The award was given to her based on her popular comedy video series, Mark Angel Comedy, in the category of Best Subscribed Creator in the recent inaugural Sub-Saharan Africa YouTube Awards.

According to YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki, the SSA YouTube Award was the way Google celebrated African creators.

The YouTube Awards celebrate the talents and creativity of the YouTube community as they serve as a platform that shares Africa's creativity with the rest of the world.

With the celebration of our first YouTube Africa Awards, we hope to celebrate incredible achievements such as the medalist Olympian Julius Yego, while demonstrating our long-term commitment to the continent, "he said. Susan Wojcicki also revealed that the YouTube awards were given to 25 creators in 23 categories, underlining that the nominees were chosen based on the number of their subscribers.
